pincus proEd stackable 2010 100ppi rgb.jpgPincus Professional Education

Founded in 2005, Pincus Professional Education provides live, practical skills-based seminars and webinars for attorneys seeking to learn the skills necessary to become better practitioners, skills rarely taught in law school. Currently our seminars are held in California, Illinois, Washington and via the Web. We expect to expand our litigation Boot Camps to Florida and New York in the near future.

We also provide seminars geared towards career advancement skills and many of our popular CLE speakers can be booked through us, to speak at law firms, government agencies and other locations or events.

Our seminars are taught by judges, justices, current or former judicial law clerks, judicial staff attorneys and highly recommended expert practitioners. We work directly with our speakers and panels to ensure they deliver essential information on their promised topics. We also vet our speakers, who are referred to us by prior successful and popular faculty.

We put on between 40-50 live CLE seminars per year and we offer audio recordings and online distribution of all of our seminars.

We have more than one hundred programs available as Home Study (recorded audio) programs, which may be ordered via our website. In 2011 the bulk of our Home Study courses will become available on our website for instant downloading and/or streaming.

Until that time, some of our more popular and universal Home Study recorded programs are currently available via instant download or online streaming via our web-portal. This include: ethics, immigration, IP for Everybody, appellate practice, HIPPA, privacy law, and bankruptcy programs, and others.

Finz Advance Tapes, a division of Pincus

Finz Advance Tapes has operated successfully since 1992. Finz issues monthly substantive case law updates in a variety of practice areas.

Each monthly recording includes a succinct, engaging case summary, as well as an analysis and commentary about the prior month’s most critical published cases in specific practice areas at the state and federal level. Case updates are provided via audio CDs and/or instantly available downloadable/streaming .mp3s, which are issued monthly and are available via as annual subscriptions.

Our audio summaries help attorneys stay up-to-date on important changing case law without having to do time-consuming research and reading themselves (at least until they need to cite the case!). One month’s CD saves an attorney at least twenty hours of research and reading because we include citations and references to not just the current case under discussion, but also relevant prior cases and statutes.

All cases cited and discussed in the Finz issues are also available in our searchable database on our website, as a research resource as part of your subscription.

In other words, we provide convenience for a small fee that allows our subscribers to spend their valuable time doing other tasks.

Finz currently offers the following three annual subscription series:

  • CA Torts and Personal Injury, by Professor Patricia Cain
  • CA Civil Procedure, Evidence and Discovery, by Professor Patricia Cain
  • Federal Immigration, by The Honorable (Ret.) Immigration Judge Bruce J. Einhorn

Subscriptions include a printed list of cases and additional related citations, as well as access to our easily searchable free website index that includes a brief summary of every case discussed since 1992. The programs also qualify for between 9 and 12 hours per year of Self Study CLE credit in California and elsewhere.

New topic areas will be added to our product offering each year as this division expands.
